Presented by the Vancouver Aquarium, the annual Ocean Wise Seafood Chowder Chowdown event is an amazing celebration for those who support and enjoy eating sustainable seafood. A chowder competition where 12 of BC’s top chefs – including Hapa’s own Tomoki Yamasaki, Daiji Tanaka and Ben Berwick – are challenged to create the best sustainable seafood chowder on the West Coast. The event also invites BC’s top craft brewers and celebrity judges including the popular food reviewer Jamie Maw, celeb chef David Hawksworth and famous Vancouver blogger Miss604.
