Hapa Izakaya Restaurant in Coal Harbour is seeking Junior Cooks with responsibilities for:

  • Assisting in basic food preparation and kitchen maintenance of a Japanese Izakaya restaurant (lunch and dinner) by washing, cutting, preparing and cooking simple food items under direction of lead and assistant cooks
  • Maintaining kitchen utensils, tools and stations
  • Maintaining safe handling of food

This is a permanent full-time position with salary of $10.85/hour – $13.00/hour based on a 40-hour work week, depending upon experience and abilities. Benefits include vacation time per Employment Standards Act. Work location is Coal Harbour, in downtown Vancouver.

There are no minimum experience or training requirements, but candidates must be Canadian (or have Permanent Resident status) and be willing to train up to an Assistant Cook position. No minimum education requirement.
