Hapa Takes Home Silver at Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards
May 1st, 2012For the second year in a row, Hapa has won Silver for “Best Casual Chain” at the 23rd annual Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards.
Hapa was recognized for creating, as one judge marvelled, “sleek creative Japanese food with a strong side of personality”.

Team Hapa race 10K for a good cause!
April 30th, 2012On Sunday, April 15th, Hapa staff joined 48,904 runners in the 28th annual Vancouver Sun Run.
In the restaurant industry, it can be quite the feat to rise and shine before 8:00am, never mind run a 10-K race! Despite this, fifteen Hapa nighthawks pushed themselves to their limits in support of a great cause, helping raise money for The Vancouver Sun’s Raise-a-Reader campaign and B.C.’s amateur athletes program.

Hapa receives three Golden Plate Awards from the Georgia Straight!
March 28th, 2012Hapa Izakaya is pleased to announce that it has received three Golden Plate Awards awards from the Georgia Straight.
For the second year in a row, Hapa was honoured with the “Best Izakaya” Award based on the 2012 readers’ choice survey – conducted by the Georgia Straight. Hapa was also named “Best Japanese” – silver in the industry’s choice category and bronze in the reader’s choice category. This marks the fourth time Hapa has received this prestigious award.
“We are extremely proud to have once again received three of the industry’s top awards,” said Justin Ault, Owner, Hapa Izakaya. “In particular, we are honoured to have been recognized directly by our peers for our dedication to continuously pursuing excellence in all that we do.”
The Golden Plate Awards, presented by the Georgia Straight, represent Vancouver’s premier restaurants highlighting and celebrating excellence in cuisine.
The winners were announced in the 2012 Golden Plate Awards Issue of the Georgia Straight on March 22, 2012.
