On May 2, 2014, Hapa Izakaya chefs Comahata Takafumi, Daiji Tanaka and Nobutaka Watanabe, along with Ocean Wise partners from Vancouver and Okanagan restaurants joined forces with Naramata Bench wineries for a night of sustainable seafood paired with new release wines, at the annual Wine for Waves fundraiser. $25,000 was raised on the night from ticket sales and the silent auction which will all help to support Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise conservation program.
